Glass Mask has been a popular manga for years. It started in 1976 and several versions of the story have been created since then. An anime was produced in the 80's, as well as a theatre play, a Drama in 1997, an OVA in 1998 and finally a new anime in 2005. In 2006 a Noh play has been created, based on the Kurenai Tennyo story that appears in Glass Mask and finally a musical was also produced in 2008.
